Movies and Family

No map today.  We are staying put for a while.  Finding Dory was on the agenda for today and we picked up Logan and Connor to join us.  The big kids (Morgan and Logan) sat in the third row with Caleb and Connor in the middle row.  You would not have guessed that they had met just yesterday.  All kids were very well behaved and excited for the movie, which was so good!  We got an extra large popcorn and a refill and we ate it all.

After the movie, they played a few games at the movie theatre arcade and we headed to Chick-Fil-A.  We were all stuffed full of popcorn, but we thought we'd try to get some actual food in their stomachs anyway.  Logan was the only one who claimed to be hungry so we got a 12 count nugget meal for all 4 kids to share.  They did not finish it.  They played in the playground and then we headed back to Aunt Sue's house for more swimming.

Rodney did too many flips.  He was sore like an old man.  But the kids LOVED it.

After 2 hours in the pool, we got them out and put on a movie until dinner.  Everyone was coming over that night for ribs: Rodney's cousins Vicki, Kim, and Matt and their families.  We had a great time visiting with family that we rarely get to see.  It was a really fun night and a delicious dinner.

We had 14 people for dinner, including 2 Calebs.  When I was pregnant with Morgan, we did not find out if she was a boy or girl and the boy name we had chosen was Caleb.  Vicki was pregnant at the same time and was having a boy, who she planned to name Caleb.  Our baby was due first so we were ready to claim the name.  Obviously, Morgan was a girl so we didn't use the name and Vicki did.  When our boy came along, we tried to think of another name but just kept coming back to Caleb.  We went ahead with it even though there was already a Caleb in the family.  This opened the door for Kim a few years later to name her son Connor, even though Rodney's sister Nicole already had a son named Connor.  So there was some confusion through the night but we made it through.

Vicki stayed late so Morgan and both Calebs hopped in the pool at 9PM.  We're obviously on vacation.  Rodney has great memories of coming to this house as a kid and swimming and staying up late and lots of other shenanigans with his cousins so bedtimes went out the window and great cousin memories were made.

When I tucked in the kids at 11PM, they fell asleep almost instantly.  I'm pretty sure they'll have some good dreams tonight.
